He also had a number of marine related books to his credit prior to the"Golden Years."While locations at most NZ ports are featured, the bulk of the folio images are taken in Wellington"home port"of Makarios. In scope and quality the photo offering is superlative, featuring ships in stormy seas or lying quietly in port, arriving or leaving, big ships, small ships, harbour service craft, warships to wharf scenes, liners to tugs, fishing boats to ferries. some ships that met trouble and others, relics from the past. A nostalgic stroll down Memory Lane for any shipping enthusiast, recalling time when ships were"easy on the eye"--- to quote from the book's foreword. Colour pictorial laminated hard covers are NF, as is the book internally. A heavy book at just over 1.2kg unpacked --- would require additional postage for international delivery.
