Published in 1991 to mark the 50th jubilee of schooling at View Road, Waiuku (a town and district just south of Auckland) this booklet has an unusual story to tell --- of four different schools occupying the same site and buildings over that half-century. Initially, from 1941 to 1959, it was the Waiuku District High School, becoming Waiuku College from 1961 to'62 then transformed as Waiuku Primary School till 1977 and View Road Senior School from 1978. The era covered by the jubilee history was one that saw many changes in the NZ education system and to some degree these are charted through this work. In addition to tracing the history of the four different schools the book also carries names lists for staff and others associated with each of them. 120 pages, 33 b/w photos, old document reproductions inside both covers . Red card covers with white titles are VG+, number of ink names etc inscribed on title page, text block otherwise excellent.
